Again, again and again and then we gain. This is normally the dynamics of life, however, there are always exceptions to the norm. We don’t gain because of the absence of failure but in spite of failure. “Gain after pain” illustrates the notion that growth, success and personal development often emerge from a series of setbacks, challenges, and failures. It acknowledges that the path to achievement is rarely linear and is frequently marked by obstacles.
When we fail, we are forced to confront our weaknesses and to identify areas that we need to improve. This process can be painful as we need to immerse within our own shadows but it is essential for growth. Even successful people often fail big before they achieve big. This is because they are willing to take risks and to try new things. They assume that failure is part of the learning process.
It is not about the final results but rather, the person we become in the process.
“Not being satisfied with results” is not always bad as it offers several profound benefits: self-discovery, gain insights into our strengths and weaknesses and also foster resilience and perseverance. Facing and overcoming adversity cultivates mental, spiritual and emotional strength, essential for long-term gain. Innovation and creativity are also more advance skills we acquire in the process for trying news ways to get different results. Exploring new alternative approaches and strategies, often brings groundbreaking solutions.
The whole process of trying in life help us to develop new skills and a deeper self-knowledge becoming more aware that all new things in life start by first changing our inner world. When we experience setbacks, we feel more motivation to achieve the goals we set to prove to ourselves that we can overcome obstacles and succeed. These experiences of adversity are not just inevitable but also integral part to the process of growth giving us the feeling that it is always worth trying in life.
May you have the strength, peace and joy to try, grow and reap the sowing.
