When growing holistically as a human beings there are three pillars that connect us to a purpose: “mind, body and spirituality”. The three bases are interconnected, one supporting the other two interchangeably: the fact that we work on one influences the others impacting on the overall well-being. This is precisely why a slight improvement in one area invariably uplifts the others, enhancing the general state.
All of the three component are equally important, hence the idea of growing in balance in life. For instance, by nurturing physical health through sports, healthy nutrition and appropriate sleep we gain energy, mental clarity, emotional balance and explore our spirituality. Likewise, calming the mind and cultivating mental well-being as in reading, mindfulness or even playing games, reduces stress on our body strengthens the physical health and spiritual alignment. Similarly, engaging in spiritual practices such as meditation, gratitude or connecting to a project larger than oneself gives us a sense of inner peace, purpose and fulfilment that runs through body and mind.
Attending all of the three dimensions motivates us a life for healthy habits enhancing peace, joy and contentment while expanding a harmonious balance. This is foundation for overall well-being as well as unlocking the full potential the individual posses within leading to a richer experience on planet earth. The final outcome – hence synergy – is more than the sum of its parts.
