Real and proper leadership is “when you lead by example“. As one wise man said: “you cannot be better leader than a person”. You have to be a good person first, set the ground first” to prosper the good leader within yourself”.
You can be at the top in leadership and yet remain simple and humble, as I have recently witnessed myself with a multi-national CEO.
He leads by example, shows “the human way” of doing his work by helping the team when they need and at the same time, being close to them in listening, sharing the same working space and as he shows the team, it looks as if “he is one more in the team”.
As he says, “I am more of a phycologist than doing the technical tasks. I listen to them, guide them, help when they need it. I manage and guide a group of people and make decisions. Those are my main tasks”. He shows that true leadership, being at the same level as the team and treating them well is the best way for people to reach their full potential.
